The San Antonio Spurs have had the No. 1 pick three times in their history, and they struck gold the first two times.

Notably, there’s no reason to believe that won’t be the case again this time, especially considering they may have landed the most talented prospect in team sports history.

Victor Wembanyama has already given us a glimpse of just how incredibly disruptive he can be on the defensive end of the court, all while also being able to put the ball on the floor and pull up from all three levels.

With that in mind, former NBA champion Richard Jefferson recently predicted that Wemby could be the best player on Earth by the fourth year of his career or even the third via NBA on ESPN and Legion Hoops.

Wembanyama has turned a lot of heads during the preseason because of his defensive prowess, with players not even looking to drive to the rim or shoot when he’s lurking around in the paint or the perimeter.

He’s played power forward on offense as well, stretching the floor with his shooting ability, and showcasing some playmaking skills.

The fact of the matter is that we have never seen a player like Victor Wembanyama, and he could set the blueprint for how modern-day players could look in the not-so-distant future.

Barring injury, at this pace, he will become the finest entertainer in the Association and a perennial MVP and Defensive Player of the Year before turning 25 years old.
